Noil Kantha

Noil Kantha

The hand stitched kanthas are one of the oldest handicrafts of Bengal. The lost art of kantha has not only been revived in these saris but it has acquired a new meaning – the blend of conventional with contemporary. Delicate craftsmanship and meticulous attention to details makes this range stand apart. Suchismita has created this range using sketches and fabric samples to blend colour with kantha work to give a wearer a feel of exclusivity.

Suchismita’s love for this yarn transformed the sari wearing populace from being tradition weary to post modern aficionados. Her earliest creation was noil saris. This range comes in style that can be worn to grace both formal and informal occasions. She admits she hadn’t had enough and continues to experiment with the yarn.
