The story revolves around a stolen laptop, which moves from one household to another exploring the lives within and intertwining them unknowingly. The costumes range from the upper part of society, a doctor to a hotel manager, a once affluent, now fallen in bad times author, his middle class typist to a poor taxi driver. Suchismita’s successfully depicts, not only different social classes but also the layers the different characters portray.

The story of this movie, revolves around few uninhibited women who are escort girls by profession. Suchismita gives the women bold look through her costumes. In keeping with the message of the film; that escort service is just another profession, the costumes say “confident women” rather than “fallen women” – the very tag that the film wanted to remove.

A multilingual film based on a bangla story by Mahasweta Devi and directed by Italian director. In this film Suchismita needed to cover a wide range of culture and social class. Her costumes varied from modern professionals on one hand to tribal people on the other – in between are the policemen, social activist and the prostitutes. The santhals and contemporary women both wear saris but the style, kind, colours are completely different. Suchismita succeeds in authentically depicting this social mix, through her costumes.

The story is based on 3 short stories of Nabarun Bhattacharjee. The film charts the story of people from different social and economic classes. Jobless Biren’s costume is as authentic as Kamalini the wife of an NRI and Suchismita once again proves how thoroughly she observes the different shades of the contemporary social classes.
