This is story of youth migration from contemporary Calcutta. The cast is varied and from different background and up-bringing. Suchismita shows equal ease while dressing Swastika as a NRI and Mumtaz, Parambrata, Rudranil and Dhruv as contemporary musicians.

A novel by Rabindranath set in Colonial Bengal at the turn of 20th century. The story is a conflicting tale of love and morality and so the costumes are designed to bring out the contradictory natures of the characters. The toughest job of the costume designer is the research that needs to be done to depict a past age. Suchismita Dasgupta depicts the period convincingly and gives the characters a believable look.

The story is based on story written by Samaresh Basu in 1965. The film captures different sections of the society – a corporate officer, a prostitute of sonagachi, an aspiring model and a policeman. The costume designed by Suchismita also varies in style and flavour throughout the movie – moving from a bohemian upper middle class man to the women of a red light area.
